Ellistat expands to the United States with Clooma

Ellistat, French designer and publisher of industrial software solutions, announces the creation of its American subsidiary in Chicago, Clooma, led by Baptiste Mirat as CEO.

Five months after its operational launch, and thanks to the involvement of committed local players, the subsidiary has already completed four initial deployments in demanding industrial sectors, confirming the relevance of the Closed Loop Manufacturing (CLM or APC) solution in the face of growing demand for automation among American manufacturers.

A U.S. Market in strong pursuit of performance and ROI

Ellistat is establishing itself in the United States in response to growing interest from local manufacturers in high-ROI automation solutions. In a context of increasing pressure on costs and lead times, compounded by a structural labor shortage in production roles, American companies are seeking concrete, fast, and measurable gains — and they respond remarkably quickly once results are delivered.

« The big difference from Europe is team structure. Here, everyone is highly specialized in their field, projects are well-scoped from the start, and you feel it in the speed of execution. Combined with real recruitment pressure in production, it creates an ideal environment for our solution, » says Baptiste Mirat.

The result of over fifteen years of research, APC (Automated Process Control) automates machine tool adjustments and durably improves production quality, with measurable gains from the very first parts produced. The technology integrates directly into existing production environments without major organizational disruption.

Marketed under the CLOOMA (Closed Loop Manufacturing) brand in the U.S. market, the solution reduces scrap by up to 90%, cuts setup times by up to 75%, and generates an average productivity gain estimated at approximately $25,000 per machine tool per year.

Five months after launch, the subsidiary has already signed its first references in environments with particularly demanding precision and quality compliance requirements, including Exalta, a MedTech equipment supplier, and an entity within the Seco Tools group, one of the world’s leading cutting tool manufacturers.

With ten years of experience in machining , including a VIE posting in the United States (2017–2019) and five years at Ellistat building commercial development in France and Europe, Baptiste Mirat is leading this expansion from Chicago. A project that began taking shape in 2023, which he brought to life by taking the helm of Ellistat Inc. in summer 2025.

CLOOMA: A strategic base in Chicago

Ellistat Inc. is established in Chicago to target the Manufacturing Belt as a priority, the primary industrial region of the Midwest and Great Lakes, home to a high density of players in the medical, automotive, and precision machining sectors. To drive this development, Ellistat relies on a lean, responsive field team combining commercial expertise with close-proximity technical support. Staff reinforcement is planned in the coming months to support growth.

Deliberate pragmatism and building an Ellistat ecosystem

Ellistat’s U.S. strategy is built on deliberate pragmatism: establish where demand is real, move forward with committed field partners, and progressively build a coherent ecosystem around Ellistat solutions. Rather than pursuing maximum immediate coverage, the company favors structuring industrial partnerships, software publishers, machine tool manufacturers, metrology specialists, who become natural brand relays in their territory and share the same commitment to measurable results.

A first structuring agreement has been signed with Visional Technology for development in Central America and the Caribbean. Well established in the medical sector and specialized in measurement equipment, this company embodies Ellistat’s strategy: leveraging recognized local players to deploy solutions quickly and durably.

« In American industry, you don’t earn your place from an office 5,000 miles away. What sets us apart from many software companies is that we stay with our clients long after signing, on the shop floor, in training, in the daily life of their teams. That proximity is what allows us to build a solid, lasting ecosystem, client by client, partner by partner. That’s precisely why we opened a subsidiary in Chicago, » adds Baptiste Mirat.
